Pricing & Subscription

Subscription tiers, feature comparison, upgrade, and payment management

Content Mate offers three subscription tiers designed for different team sizes and needs. From solo creators to large agencies, each plan provides a clear set of features and limits. This article explains the subscription model, compares all tiers, walks you through the upgrade process, and shows you how to manage your existing subscription.

Accessing the Pricing Page

You can reach the pricing page in two ways:

  1. Click Upgrade in the subscription section of your Profile & Settings page
  2. Navigate directly to the pricing page from the application menu

The page opens with a gradient background and displays all three subscription tiers side by side. A back button in the top-left corner lets you return to the previous page.

Billing Interval Toggle

At the top of the pricing page, a toggle switch lets you choose between two billing intervals:

IntervalDescription
MonthlyPay month by month with full flexibility to cancel anytime
YearlyPay for 12 months upfront and save approximately 17% compared to monthly billing

The yearly savings are highlighted with a green badge showing "Save 17%". When you switch between intervals, the displayed prices update immediately to reflect the selected billing period.

All prices are shown per month regardless of the selected interval. If you choose yearly billing, the price shown is the monthly equivalent (yearly total divided by 12), with a note indicating that billing occurs annually.

Subscription Tiers

Content Mate offers three paid tiers. Each tier is presented as a card with a colored gradient header, feature list, and action button.

Standard (Starter)

The entry-level paid plan for solo creators and small teams getting started with social media management.

Pricing:

  • Monthly: 29 EUR / month
  • Yearly: approximately 24 EUR / month (290 EUR / year)

The Standard tier card has a blue-to-cyan gradient header and a Sparkles icon.

Advanced (Professional)

The most popular plan for growing teams that need more accounts and workspace capacity. This tier is highlighted with a "Popular" badge in the top-right corner and is visually scaled up slightly to draw attention.

Pricing:

  • Monthly: 79 EUR / month
  • Yearly: approximately 66 EUR / month (790 EUR / year)

The Advanced tier card has a purple-to-indigo gradient header and a Crown icon.

How to Upgrade

To upgrade to a paid plan:

  1. Navigate to the pricing page
  2. Select your preferred billing interval (monthly or yearly)
  3. Find the tier you want and click the Upgrade button on the tier card
  4. You are redirected to a secure Stripe Checkout page
  5. Enter your payment details on the Stripe page
  6. After successful payment, you are redirected back to Content Mate
  7. Your subscription is activated immediately and the new limits take effect

The upgrade button shows a crown icon and is styled with the tier's gradient color. While the checkout redirect is in progress, a loading spinner is displayed on the button.

Agency Tier

The Agency tier has a Contact Sales button instead of a direct upgrade button. Clicking it displays a notification with contact information. This allows the sales team to discuss custom needs and enterprise requirements.

Current Plan Indicator

If you are already subscribed to a tier, that tier's card shows a green "Current Plan" badge in the top-left corner and a disabled button reading "Current Plan". Tiers below your current plan show an "Included in Current Plan" button.

Managing Your Subscription

Once you have an active subscription, you can manage it from two places:

From the Profile Page

The Profile & Settings page has two management options in the subscription section:

  1. Change Plan -- Opens a dialog to upgrade or downgrade between tiers. The change is processed with prorated billing through Stripe.
  2. Manage Subscription -- Opens the Stripe Customer Portal where you can view invoices, update payment methods, and cancel.

Stripe Customer Portal

The Stripe Customer Portal is a secure, hosted page provided by Stripe. From there you can:

  • View your complete billing history
  • Download individual invoices as PDF
  • Update your credit card or payment method
  • Change your billing address
  • Cancel your subscription (takes effect at the end of the billing period)

Downgrading

To downgrade to a lower tier:

  1. Go to the Profile & Settings page
  2. Click Change Plan in the subscription section
  3. Select a lower tier from the plan options
  4. Confirm the change

Downgrading takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Until then, you retain the features of your current tier. When the downgrade activates:

  • Your workspace and account limits are reduced to the new tier's values
  • Existing connected accounts and workspaces beyond the new limit remain but you cannot add new ones until you are within the limit
  • No data is deleted during a downgrade

Free Tier Limitations

Users without a paid subscription operate on the Free tier. The Free tier has strict limits:

  • Limited workspace creation
  • Limited social media account connections
  • Limited storage capacity
  • All core features (inbox, scheduler, analytics) are accessible but constrained by the workspace limits

To unlock more capacity, upgrade to any paid tier on the pricing page.
