Content Mate is your all-in-one platform for social media management, designed specifically for the DACH region. Plan, publish, and analyze your content on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok from a single, unified interface. Whether you are a solo marketer or part of a team, Content Mate streamlines your entire social media workflow so you can focus on creating great content.
What Is Content Mate?
Content Mate is a web-based social media management tool that brings together post scheduling, a unified inbox, analytics, a media library, and team workspaces. Instead of logging into Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok individually, you manage everything from one dashboard. Content Mate runs entirely in your browser and requires no software installation.
Main Features Overview
Content Mate is built around five core areas, each accessible from the sidebar navigation. Below is a brief overview of what each area offers and how it fits into your daily workflow.
Inbox
The shared inbox combines all direct messages and comments from Facebook Messenger, Instagram Direct Messages, and your post comments into a single interface. You can read and reply to messages, manage comments (like, hide, delete, edit), assign conversations to team members, and filter by platform or message type. This eliminates the need to switch between apps and ensures no customer message goes unanswered.
Post Scheduling
Create and schedule posts using a guided 4-step wizard. Choose your platform and account, write your caption, add and edit media (photos or videos), and pick a date and time. Content Mate supports photos, videos, carousels, reels, and stories for Facebook and Instagram, as well as videos and photos for TikTok. Scheduled posts are automatically published at the chosen time.
Calendar
The calendar provides a visual overview of all your scheduled, published, and failed posts. Switch between monthly, weekly, and daily views to see your content pipeline at a glance. You can drag and drop posts to reschedule them, and click any post to view or edit its details.
Analytics
Detailed performance dashboards give you insight into engagement metrics (reactions, comments, shares, clicks), reach and impressions, community growth (follower gains and losses), and content analysis (post types, posting density, video metrics). You can filter by time period and compare performance across platforms. The Analytics section is organized into tabs: Overview, Engagement, Community, Reach, and Content.
Media Library
The media library stores all images and videos you upload to Content Mate. You can organize files into folders, preview media, check file sizes and dimensions, and reuse media across multiple posts. The library also shows how much storage space you have used.
Workspaces
Workspaces let you organize your social media management by client, brand, or team. Each workspace has its own set of connected accounts, posts, messages, and analytics. You can create multiple workspaces and invite team members with specific roles: Admin (full access), Editor (can create and edit content), or Viewer (read-only access).
Sidebar Navigation
The sidebar on the left side of the screen is your primary navigation tool. It is always visible when you are inside a workspace and can be collapsed to save screen space on desktop. On mobile devices, it opens as a full-screen overlay when you tap the hamburger menu icon in the top-left corner.
Sidebar Menu Items
| Menu Item | Icon | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Schedule Post | Plus (blue button) | Opens the 4-step post creation wizard. This is the primary call-to-action in the sidebar and is highlighted in your theme color. |
| Dashboard | Grid icon | Returns you to the main dashboard with statistics, upcoming posts, inbox preview, and the pinboard. |
| Calendar | Calendar icon | Opens the post calendar where you can see and manage all scheduled posts in monthly, weekly, or daily view. |
| Inbox | Inbox icon | Opens the shared inbox where you manage messages and comments from all connected platforms. |
| Analytics | Chart icon | Opens the analytics dashboard. Clicking the arrow expands sub-items for Overview, Engagement, Community, Reach, and Content tabs. |
| Media | Image icon | Opens the media library where you can upload, organize, and manage your images and videos. |
| Settings | Gear icon | Opens workspace settings where you can manage connected accounts, team members, invitations, and holiday calendars. |
Collapsing the Sidebar
On large screens, the sidebar shows both icons and text labels. Click the chevron arrow at the top right of the sidebar to collapse it into an icon-only mode, giving you more space for your content. Click again to expand. On medium screens (tablets), the sidebar is always in collapsed icon-only mode. On mobile, it is hidden entirely and accessible through the hamburger menu.
Switching Workspaces
At the bottom of the sidebar, you will find the workspace switcher. It displays the name of your currently active workspace and a dropdown arrow.
To switch workspaces:
- Click the workspace name at the bottom of the sidebar
- A dropdown menu appears listing all workspaces you belong to
- Each workspace shows its name and your role (Admin, Editor, or Viewer)
- Click on a workspace to switch to it
- You will be redirected to that workspace's inbox
The dropdown also includes a Manage Workspaces option at the bottom, which takes you to the workspace overview page where you can create new workspaces.
