The Workspace Settings page is the central configuration hub for your workspace. Here you can view workspace information, manage team members and their roles, generate invitation links, connect and disconnect social media accounts, and configure holiday calendars. This article covers every section of the settings page in detail.
Accessing Workspace Settings
Click Settings in the sidebar menu while inside a workspace. The settings page loads with an animated entrance effect and displays all configuration sections in a vertical layout. The page header shows the title "Workspace Settings" and the name of the current workspace below it.
Only workspace Admins and the workspace Owner have access to the full settings page. Members with Editor or Viewer roles can see a limited view without management controls.
Workspace Information Card
The first card on the settings page displays basic information about your workspace. It is marked with a shield icon and contains:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Workspace Name | The name you gave the workspace when you created it |
| Members | The total number of members currently in the workspace (e.g., "3 Members") |
This card provides a quick overview of the workspace identity and team size. The information is read-only and serves as a reference point.
Workspace Members
The Members section lists all current workspace members. It is marked with a purple users icon. Each member entry shows:
- Avatar -- A user icon in a circular container
- Name -- The member's display name (or email if no name is set)
- Email -- The member's email address below the name
- Role dropdown -- An interactive dropdown (visible to Admins) showing the current role
- Remove button -- A red trash icon to remove the member (visible to Admins)
Changing a Role
If you are an Admin, you can change any member's role directly from the member list:
- Click the role dropdown next to the member's name
- Select the new role: Admin, Editor, or Viewer
- The change saves automatically and a success notification appears
For non-Admin users, the role is displayed as a static badge instead of a dropdown.
Removing a Member
To remove a member:
- Click the red trash icon on the right side of the member entry
- A confirmation dialog appears with a warning icon
- The dialog shows the member's name and explains the consequences
- Click Remove to confirm or Cancel to abort
The removed member loses access immediately. All content they created remains in the workspace.
Empty State
If the workspace has no members (which would be unusual), an empty state with a users icon and a message is displayed.
Invite New Member
The invitation section is only visible to Admins. It is marked with a green user-plus icon and contains the invitation form and the list of active invitations.
Invitation Form
The form has three fields arranged in a horizontal grid:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Email address | The email of the person you want to invite. A hint below explains that the invited person needs a Content Mate account. |
| Role | A dropdown to select the role (Admin, Editor, or Viewer). A description of the selected role appears below the dropdown. |
| Generate Link | A blue button that creates the invitation. A hint below notes the 7-day expiration. |
After generating an invitation, a green success banner appears with the invitation URL and a copy button. See Invite Members for the full invitation workflow.
Active Invitations List
Below the form, all pending invitations are listed with:
- Email and role badge on the left
- Created at timestamp and expires in countdown on the bottom left
- Copy button and revoke (trash) button on the right
If no invitations exist, an empty state with a link icon is shown.
For full details on managing invitations, see Invite Members.
Connected Social Media Accounts
The Connected Accounts section is marked with an orange settings icon. It contains two subsections: connection options for new accounts and a list of existing connected accounts.
Connect New Accounts
Three platform cards are displayed in a grid:
The Facebook card shows the Facebook icon in blue, a title, and a description. If no Facebook account is connected yet, the button reads Connect and initiates the Facebook OAuth flow. If a Facebook account is already connected, the button changes to Reconnect, which refreshes the connection and tokens without losing data.
The Instagram card shows the Instagram icon in pink with a connect button. Clicking it initiates the Instagram OAuth flow (which goes through Facebook's login system, as Instagram Business accounts are linked through Facebook Pages).
TikTok
The TikTok card shows a music icon in dark gray/black. Clicking the connect button initiates the TikTok OAuth flow with PKCE authentication. After authorization, the TikTok account is linked to the workspace.
Existing Connected Accounts
Below the connection cards, all currently connected accounts are listed. Each account entry shows:
| Element | Description |
|---|---|
| Profile image | The account's profile picture (falls back to platform icon if unavailable) |
| Display name | The account name or account ID |
| Platform | The platform name (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) |
| Account ID | A masked version of the platform account ID (e.g., "123****789") for security |
| Actions menu | A three-dot dropdown menu with additional options |
Account Actions Menu
Click the three-dot icon on any connected account to reveal a dropdown menu with:
- Show/Hide Account ID -- Toggle between the masked and full account ID
- Reconnect -- (Facebook only) Refresh the OAuth connection and tokens
- Remove -- Disconnect the account from the workspace (Admin only)
Removing an Account
When you click Remove from the dropdown menu:
- A confirmation modal appears with the account name
- It warns that disconnecting the account will affect scheduling and analytics
- Click Remove to confirm or Cancel to abort
- A success notification confirms the disconnection
Empty State
If no accounts are connected, an empty state is shown with a settings icon and a message encouraging you to connect your first account.
Holidays & Public Days
The Holidays section is marked with a blue calendar icon and is only visible to Admins. It allows you to enable public holiday awareness for your workspace, which highlights holidays in the post scheduling calendar.
Enable/Disable Holidays
A toggle switch at the top of the section enables or disables the holiday feature for the entire workspace. When toggled:
- On -- The country selection appears and holidays are shown in the scheduler calendar
- Off -- No holidays are displayed in the calendar
The setting is saved immediately when toggled, and a confirmation notification appears.
Country Selection
When holidays are enabled, you can select which countries' public holidays to display. Countries are organized in two groups:
DACH Countries
The primary target region for Content Mate:

Click on any country button to toggle it on or off:
- Selected countries appear with a blue border, blue background, and blue text
- Unselected countries appear with a gray border and neutral text
You can select multiple countries simultaneously. Each change is saved immediately to the server. If no countries are selected while holidays are enabled, a hint message appears reminding you to select at least one country.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who can access the workspace settings?
Only Admins and the workspace Owner have full access to all settings sections. Editors and Viewers can see a limited view of the workspace information and member list.
Can I connect multiple accounts from the same platform?
Yes. You can connect multiple Facebook Pages, Instagram Business Accounts, or TikTok accounts to the same workspace. Each connection is independent. The number of accounts you can connect depends on your subscription tier.
What happens when I disconnect an account?
The account is unlinked from the workspace. Scheduled posts targeting that account will no longer be published. Analytics data that was already imported remains available. Posts already published on the platform are not affected.
How do I refresh an expired Facebook connection?
Click the three-dot menu on the Facebook account entry and select Reconnect. Alternatively, use the Reconnect button on the Facebook connection card. This refreshes the OAuth token without disconnecting the account.
Why are some sections not visible to me?
If you have an Editor or Viewer role, the invitation section, holiday configuration, and account management controls are hidden. Ask your workspace Admin to change your role if you need access to these features.
